Twenty five years ago, Anthony and Isabelle Pupillo sold fresh produce off the back of an old pickup truck. Today the Pupillo "family" is two corporations comprised of seventy five dedicated individuals with products distributed nationally.
Salad Bar Tenders is a full service food service distributor. Our primary focus is the supermarket salad bar and related HMR departments. Over the years, Salad Bar Tenders has developed numerous customized turnkey programs for national chain stores and local independents.
A reliable staff of experienced field merchandisers utilize an array of support materials and provide hands on instruction for all operational aspects of the salad bar including food safety, shrink control and enhanced food presentation.
A variety of specialized computer programs provide unique cost management reporting.
Salad Bar Tenders offers a complete menu of items including fresh precut fruits and vegetables. This is complemented by the specialty food products of Isabelle's Kitchen, Inc. Our HACCP program of quality assurance is supported by daily USDA inspection. Isabelle's features a "commissary" style of production, uses fresh celery, little or no preservatives and never adds sulfites or MSG. Finally, a tightly managed distribution channel maintains the cold chain, insuring a fresh and safe product to our customer.
